Junior Administration Assistant (Modern Apprentice)

The team

The successful candidate will provide an effective and efficient secretarial and administrative support service to the PTE division and report to the PA Co-ordinator. The successful candidate will undertake a Modern Apprenticeship in Business Administration. You will work towards the achievement of a nationally recognised Business Administration Diploma (SCQF 6). You will be supported throughout your apprentice journey by a dedicated Assessor.

The role
  • Copying and scanning of correspondence / documents
  • Collation of documents for fee earners as enclosures for letters
  • Storing deeds and documents in Store
  • Arranging payments on behalf of fee earners, including processing of forms and telephone calls to verify bank account details as well as preparation of file notes
  • Hand deliveries in the local area
  • Assisting with collating information needed for compliance (AML/TRS etc)
  • Assisting with opening files for new clients and matters
  • Distributing mail and signed documents
  • Assisting fee earners and PAs with any other administrative tasks which they delegate
Other information
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages is essential (Word, Excel and Outlook)       
  • Experience in an office environment is desirable                                          
  • The ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
  • A confident self-starter who can work on their own as well as part of a team
