The team

We currently have an opportunity for a corporate finance lawyer based in Scotland within our market leading corporate finance practice group.

Recognised for their high quality of service, and their experience in delivering large and complex transactions, our corporate finance team is one of the highest profile in Scotland. With particular sector specialisms in technology, life sciences, energy and real estate, the team advises a range of both UK and international clients on a wide range of corporate transactions, including IPOs,  public and private company M&A and equity financings, and joint ventures.

The role

The key duties of the role include:

  • Working as part of the corporate team to advise on and manage a wide range of corporate transactions.
  • Liaising closely with clients, colleagues in other areas (including share incentives, regulation, media and technology, and real estate) and other advisers.
  • Assisting in business and client relationship development activities.
  • Contributing to the development of the team.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a 4+ PQE Senior Solicitor/Associate with direct corporate finance transactional experience in a qualified role, but consideration will be given to those with less direct experience in such work but who have a clear aptitude and appetite to apply their skills to this challenging and dynamic area of work.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • An understanding of client care issues
  • Ability to work on an individual basis and as part of a team to agreed timescales

An understanding and application of the ethical concepts which govern their role and behaviour as a lawyer.
