We are currently recruiting for a placement student to join our facilities team for a 12 week period. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in developing their knowledge in this area. This is a paid opportunity.
Working under the direct supervision of the Facilities Team Leader/ Service Team Co-ordinator, the Facilities Assistant will assist in the efficient operation of the day-to-day facilities duties which may include, but is not limited to, the following: Assisting with the everyday facilities and operations within the office, concentrating on Meeting Room Set ups and ensuring all IT equipment in rooms is securely positioned. Working with the Facilities Team Manager for any additional requirements. Also working alongside Print/Mailroom, replenishing stocks within the Printbays and any other necessary works.

The job description is not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to undertake additional duties from time to time to assist with the smooth running of the Edinburgh management services team. Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the set-up of Conference Rooms
- Storage, replenishment and distribution of supplies, furniture repair and replacement, key and lock repair and replacement, and repair and replacement of all non-Information Technology equipment and appliances (i.e. printers, coffee machines, vending machines, refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers, water coolers etc.)
- Print Room Duties
- Floor Walker to ensure that all Printbays are kept tidy and well stocked- and ensure general office areas are tidy.
- Assist within the Print/Mailroom duties when available
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by Line Manager
